When you have a heart-shaped face, you may be in the habit of saying that you have a big head. You may also be someone who thinks that her heart-shaped face isn’t pretty. Would it make a difference if you knew that some of the prettiest faces in Hollywood were heart-shaped faces? Madonna, Reese Witherspoon, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Aniston, and Cameron Diaz are only some of the many beautiful celebrities with heart-shaped faces. Have you noticed? If you have not, it’s because their stylists have been using the same tips that we have right here. Look at a few tips for your beautiful, heart-shaped face.
1. The Pixie Cut and the Smoky Eye
Ginnifer Goodwin is one of Hollywood’s most beautiful fresh faces. The reason the pixie cut works for her is because of her heart-shaped face, accentuating the thickness of her hair in relation to the narrowness of her chin and lower face. It’s a very attractive look, and the opposite of what an inverted-triangular face could pull off. The reason this works is because with a heart-shaped face, you want to draw attention upward. The attention is drawn upward here with not only the pixie cut but also with the smoky eye, not different from Dior’s smoky eye makeup collection.
2. Know Where to Cut Your Bangs
When you have a heart-shaped face, it’s important to know where your bangs should fall, otherwise your forehead could look gigantic. In Ginnifer Goodwin’s haircut, the bangs do not appear very noticeable considering the whole haircut is short, but in Reese Witherspoon’s cut, the rest of her hair is long, which draws more attention to the bangs. If you have a heart-shaped face, make sure your stylist cuts the bangs on the longer side so that you can easily swipe them to either side. You will also notice that the hair at the end of each side of the bangs is a bit longer than the hair in the middle of the bangs. This helps to minimize the size of the forehead, putting all the attention onto the hair and to the narrowness of the chin in comparison.
3. Need to Wear Glasses?
If you are someone who needs to wear glasses, it is important to know what kind of glasses to select. Remember, you always want to draw attention as upward as possible to provide balance for your face shape, so you are a face shape that can manage heavier, dark frames, such as Wayfarers from Ray Ban. If you are not into the hipster look, don’t altogether rule out black framed glasses: black framed glasses with a bit of a cat eye are also tremendously flattering for your face shape, like a pair from Chanel. If you still really don’t want a pair of black frames, check out some frames by Dolce and Gabbana, with a few styles of wire frames, and a few styles of Clubmaster frames, where the plastic is on the sides and the top, and the wire is on the bottom. Remember: look for a pair of strong glasses with strong detail on the arms or the tops of the frames, so that your face is balanced.
4. Sunglasses
If you’re looking for a great pair of sunglasses for your heart-shaped face, go no further. Many of the concepts from eyeglasses are the same: you can wear black (or other colored) plastic frames because you want to bring balance to the lower part of your face from the upper part of your face. You also can have detail for the upper part of your face because there is more volume proportionately. By the way, people with angular faces would kill for this face shape because some of these sunglasses are the most fashionable. Take a look.
A. The Clubmaster. The Clubmaster by Ray Ban is one of the trendiest pair of sunglasses in 2014. The Clubmaster has a lot of plastic and attention on the top of the frames with only wires at the bottom of the frames. Some clubmaster classes also have cat eyes, but these are rare. Buy them if you can find them, and then rock it.
B. Mrs. Robinson. Because you want as much detail as possible, you can manage the Mrs. Robinson leopard print glasses like example pair not too different from those designed by Roberto Cavalli. Isn’t it great that heart-shaped faces can be so bold in style?
C. Audrey Hepburn. If you want to go for a more understated and classier look like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, take a look at Gucci sunglasses: they’re larger, darker, and they have enough of a cat eye that makes your heart shaped face still look balanced.
