Here’s The Speech By Stuart Scott On His Will To Live Through Cancer That Moved Everyone To Tears

During the 2014 ESPY Awards held by ESPN, Stuart Scott, one of the most notable personalities on the network, received the Jimmy V Perseverance Award. Stuart is is battling appendiceal cancer for the third time since his first diagnosis in 2007. His speech was delivered to a completely silent arena and ended with one of the most incredible moments when he called his youngest daughter up to the stage to hug her before his speech came to an end. Stuart’s message is this:

“When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, while you live and the manner in which you live.”
