Sometimes parents and guardians can be a little overzealous when it comes to drilling in the idea of calling 9-1-1 for help. In this instance, a 4-year-old was having trouble with “takeaways”, better known as subtraction to most of the world. Not only is he clearly a bright kid by the sound of his math homework, he also takes instruction very literal. He called emergency dispatch for help on his homework and the very gracious operator was patient, kind and took the time to educate a cute kid that misunderstood the difference between emergencies and needing extra help. It’s adorable, and maybe a little unnerving.
