Photographer Isa Leshko stumbled upon her most incredible work yet when she began capturing elderly animals on film. She started photographing the animals after her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. The encounter with facing death led Isa to her contemplation of mortality, thus inspiring her to capture other creatures nearing the end of their lives. Although it is heartbreaking, it is also another reminder of how precious, fragile and finite life is…for all of us.
