Jared Axen was a child performer that was regularly heard in the hallways of Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. Patients described him as “the singing nurse” and the moniker stuck. From their expression and words, it’s clear the lasting impact he’s left on the entire hospital—most importantly those he comes in contact with. His signing has been attributed to an increase in a patient’s positivity and overall health. Music therapy is real, people…and Jared is proof. I got choked up on this one, so it needs to be seen.
